Little things for history

While the countries await the "Cup that matters", euphoric cricket lovers leave me awestruck on how celebration can be redefined. I don't follow the game , but easily trace the hundred minds around me. Their emotional ebb and tide tells me what is going on the ground. I have not seen any of them hitting a playground ever, but they comment more than the commentators and suggests more than the coach. Have witnessed madness of support and killing frustration on men they would never meet beyond the magazine pages and wall posters. But I guess this is the only one cause that kept divided minds of my country stay as one and essentially awake today with one wish to come true.

As the country is poised for a glorious moment, my little world is no less impacted. The busy managing director in the apartment and his maid's carefree son on the road side shanty have settled for a single passion. Friends and foes all desire the same. Political parties are holidaying with one apolitical goal. Assume today we win ! Well, I wish India wins, sweet neighbour Srilanka we would share the joy , if we do.. In next edition of all news daily, sports magazine , media channels, neighbourhood clubs , office , school, colleges and public forums we would hear so many causes for why we won?

Winning Strategy and case studies reinforce established theorems or evolve with new corollaries. Yes , team performs well to win. And when best of the best meets yes it is hard work. But it is best and hard work from all ends. Yet we have one winner - one team to kiss the cup. There is certainly no one answer to success. Every piece of it has to fall in place, not knowing which contribution completes the magic. A friend of mine has settled for the small TV screen to watch the game, a few more have cluttered in the same drawing room of the most unwanted host, some have left home to stand out in same corner of the shopping mall just to ensure they do the small little to ensure the tricolor flag fly high tonight. Yes, little things in life often do great wonders and when million of little wonders meet it is bound to be history.
